Information for the BCI/City of Lewisville
Parks & Leisure Services Youth Basketball League
Winter 2010
Registration and skills assessment (you only need to attend one):
- Saturday, December 5 - 9am – 12:00 pm, Herring Recreation Center
- Saturday, December 12 - 9am – 12:00 pm, Herring Recreation Center
(For planning purposes, the registration and skills assessment will take approximately 10-20 minutes)
Draft/Team Selections:
- Tuesday, December 15 & Wednesday, December 16 (coaches only)
- Coaches will contact parents with team information between Wednesday, December 17 and Friday January 2. If you have not heard from your child’s coach by noon on Friday, January 2, feel free to e-mail Melanie Armstrong at

Practices:
- Begin Monday, January 4, for Monday/Wednesday practices
- Begin Tuesday, January 5, for Tuesday/Thursday practices
Shirts:
- Shirts will be distributed to the coaches during practice on Wednesday, January 13 or Thursday, January 14. Coaches will be notified if the shirts will not be ready until Saturday, January 16.
League games:
- The schedule will be posted on the website (www.bcibasketball.org) by Monday, January 11. It could be available earlier so check the website often.
- League play begins on Saturday, January 16, and will run through Saturday, February 20.
- End of league tournament will be held on Saturday, February 27 & Sunday, February 28 (there will be an admission charge each day for the tournament). Medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams in each division for the tournament.
Coaches and sponsors needed:
